![]() One of the views from our living room, kitchen and lanai features the West Maui Mountains, Ocean and Ekahi's tropical greenbelt. ![]() Another view from the bedroom, living room and kitchen shows sweeping, close in views of Ocean, Kahulawe. Though it isn't in this photo, Molokini can also be seen to the left. ![]() We gutted and enlarged our kitchen. Teak cabinets, Corian counters, Tile floor, KitchenAid built in Refrigerator with 2 extra drawers and 2 freezer drawers, Bosch dishwasher, coffee grinder. The remodel offers plenty of room for two, but who can work with the views! ![]() This is the approach to Building 11 from the parking lot. the pool adjacent to our building is to the right. The good looking guy in the right frame is Frank, waiting to welcome you. The stairs to our condo are behind him on the left. ![]() Once up stairs, our front lanai entrance is on your right. We've added a custom teak storage bin for beach chairs, toys, umbrellas, etc and a planter with tropical orchids, palms, etc. The pineapple on the door knocker and copper entry light is a traditional symbol of welcome on Maui. ![]() If you turn your head to left while standing at the kitchen sink, this is the view you'll see. The lanai has an electric grill & all new furniture including an adjustable lounge chair with ottoman (Brown Jordan: Aegean), 4 balcony height swivel rockers and dining table. ![]() The TEAK cabinet which houses the TV/DVD/CD/Stero was specially build for us in Bali. Bookcases surround the window. This gives you a good sense of the color scheme and our high end furnishings. This is a special spot but it is also built to be comfortable for living. ![]() One feature we love in our new kitchen is the hidden wine rack. That's the diswasher to left of sink - the Teak cabinetry is wonderful with lots of hidden features. Freezer drawers are adjacent to the wine rack and opposite the Refrigerator. ![]() Our dining room table base has arrived and the HONU (turtle petroglif) tryptic is up. To us this means Hawaii. The colors reflect the land/sea scape and our decorating too. It even pulls in our beautiful teak plantation shutters ![]() Walls and ceilings have been restored to our entry. This view is coming out of the bedroom. Ceilings are 9+'. The small "second" bedroom is to the left but the main living area beckons and is full of light and ocean views. ![]() We liked the work Tom Trottier did etching the glass for the guest bath in 20A so, we asked him to repeat for the glass shower wall in the master bath to add privacy to the space and still allow light. We built the shower floor (wonderful ocean blue/green glass tiles) up here so everyone can enjoy our great ocean views while showering. The teak screen is mounted and slides to act as a door to the shower room. ![]() I found these wall beds in Italy. The bottom bed can be set up alone or,If both beds are down, we have a bunk bed with 2 twin sized mattresses. Each bed has a reading light. The ladder is attached and folds onto the top bunk when ready to store. For your safety, these beds should be stored closed unless being slept in. ![]() The bunk beds are behind this lovely painting by Kathy Flood. The teak painted screen on your left actually slides to hide the room with the red wax palms. This offers privacy for the second bedroom. See more of Kathy's work on the ceiling at the Maui Ocean center and under our dining room table. ![]() The guest vanity has a granite top, our wonderful bamboo style fixtures and gorgeous rattan mirror. A straw yellow tile and glass shower allow ocean views from this suit. The shower has a 12" step over to allow for bathing as well. A small teak step stool is available for those children who might have difficulty with our taller toilets. ![]() The master bedroom is huge since we enclosed the lanai. The view from this space is amazing, close in ocean. An Eastern King bed and plenty of storage, good reading chairs and, hidden behind some teak plantation shutters you'll find the full size washer/dryer.The light makes is so hard to take photos of this space - hope you can get the feel. ![]() The teak plantation shutters slide to allow more than 6' of door and plenty of privacy when needed and are also used on the doors in this suite. The well stocked desk wall has a printer/scanner/fax combo, and a wireless router for the high speed Internet service. Also a 19" LCD TV/DVD. All this and great sleeping to the sound of the surf too. ![]() The pool adjacent to our Building 11 is private, close by and offers plenty of shade and quiet breezes. It is seen here from the greenbelt looking toward our parking area. ![]() Building 11 as seem from our 32D. Pool is to left - you can see the gate. Ocean to right. Our lanai is on upper right. We are above other buildings so the view is sweeping. |
