When you live in Michigan you look for warmth in the winter – that’s how Bonnie & Frank Pauli first found Ekahi – In 1979. They have owned at Wailea Ekahi Village since 1999 and still can’t believe the beauty of the place. They now live at Ekahi about 5 months of the year – Fall, Winter and even in the Summer you’ll find Bonnie working hard on condo outfitting and maintenance while enjoying the beauty of Maui.
While working at a boutique commercial real estate company in the suburbs of Chicago, Matt’s friends and classmates from college and graduate school would tap his mind for the best areas to live in as they made their migration to the “Windy City.” It was during this time that Matt saw a great opportunity to stop referring business, and transfer his corporate skill set into a more entrepreneurial spirit in real estate sales.
With the family connection to investment real estate, Matt focused his business on Chicago and Maui investment properties. He soon became a go to resource for areas that would produce the rental and resale results investors covet in both Maui and Chicago. Matt gained new skills in marketing and social media presentation and began growing Bonnie’s “MOC” business soon thereafter. He also took over the booking end of the Pauli Family Condos business and has expanded that area to include condos owned by family and friends as well as the Pauli Family’s personal condos.
“Communication is the key to a great relationship; and this is no more evident than in the real estate world,” states Matt Pauli. “Constant follow-up and the comfort that comes along with knowing I am working for you, on your team, is my goal with each client.” Matt’s clients, co-workers and business partners know they can count on his excellent customer service, reliability and professionalism.
Maui has also become a favorite for Matt’s wife, Lory. Matt and Lory became engaged on Maui and are now married and looking forward to introducing their daughter, Makena Kate, to the area she was named after. Look for Lory’s feature blogs on cooking and restaurants on Maui.Bonnie is a graduate of the University of Michigan and still lives in Ann Arbor when not on Maui or in Sonoma County California. Well traveled, she has stayed in homes and condos rented on-line through out the world and believes that is the best way to get to know a country while traveling. She is the Pauli team member “on island” the most often.
Her thoughts on how high end comfort can be shared with visitors to a home have helped set the standard for rentals at Ekahi. Bonnie has been instrumental in helping other owners at Ekahi and beyond become legal, proactive and very involved in the rental of their Maui homes. Her goal – to make the home as turn key and comfortable as possible for a renter while still maintaining a qualty that meets or exceeds what would be expected at home. At the urging of these owners, she began a very targeted website directory, MauiOwnerCondos.com to help them market their South Maui properties. About 200 owners (nearly 70 of them at Ekahi) use this portal to advertise their very special homes to the public.
Why did we all choose Ekahi Village? No other resort on island is so low density. With clusters of low rise buildings on just 10 of the 34 acres – you feel like you’re in a tropical garden. The peace and beauty is matched only by location on the sunny, south side of Maui with gated access to Keawakapu Beach, the best beach on Maui for swimming, running, playing in sand and more, not a little cove… a real 2/3 mile of soft sand, gentle rolling waves and shade too.
Come experience our Aloha! We are among the first “owner rentals” to provide 24/7/365 on island support for emergencies. Our staff has been with us for years and they not only know the island, they know the condo you are in. You’ll find our homes exceptionally well maintained and outfitted. We are constantly updating and remodeling – why not – we live here too.
