Maui Plantation Festival

Celebrating the many lives that have come together to work the land, Maui Sugar Plantation Days is a celebration of their work. Featuring various foods and performances from the different cultures that immigrants brought to the plantations, you can connect with the community and celebrate the unique heritages of the island.

Maui Marathon and Half Marathon

Known as a run-through paradise, the Maui Marathon features a beautiful stretch of Pacific coastline as its backdrop. Traditionally held in the fall, this marathon is great for dedicated athletes and leisure runners alike. Keep an eye on their website for future runs and marathon dates.

Hawaii Food and Wine Festival

Featuring multiple events throughout the last week of October, the Hawaii Food and Wine Festival (HFWF) is a must-see if you’re on the island. Featuring more than 150 internationally renowned master chefs, culinary personalities, winemakers, and mixologists, the HFWF has donated more than $3 million to community organizations across the island.

Also, if food is your thing, be sure to check out all of the great restaurants recommended by locals around Maui. With fresh ingredients straight from the island, there are so many flavors to explore while you visit.

Maui Steel Guitar Festival

This free event is open to the public and sure to get you moving! Jam away to the sounds of steel guitars as the music fills the air. And if the feeling hits you, you can get your hands on a steel guitar and show the world your talents. Located nearby at the Shops at Wailea, you won’t want to miss the musical festivities.

Upcountry Farmer’s Market

If you really want to see the Hawaiian spirit in action, the Upcountry Farmer’s Market is a great place to start. With a “serving community to build community” mentality, the good folks at the farmer’s market bring their fresh and local goods from across the islands to this weekly market.
