Maui’s Nightlife: Where to Dance and Unwind After Sunset

Posted on: October 19, 2023

It’s easy to plan a Maui vacation and pack the days full of beach adventures, but you don’t want to miss out on the vibrant nightlife the island has to offer. Evenings filled with music, dancing, delicious local food and endless options for fun. If you’re planning your honeymoon or just a getaway with family or friends, we’re here to give you options to choose from so you can unwind and make the most of your Hawaiian vacation.

Go for a Late-Night Snack

Depending on where you’re staying in Maui, you can find restaurants near you that are open later in the evening. One fan-favorite is Mama’s Fish House, which is open daily until 8:45 pm. Manoli’s Pizza Company is another great option for the night owls, open until 12 am with a late-night menu starting at 10 pm. Mulligan’s on the Blue is a fun Irish bar that’s open daily until 9 pm, not to mention its amazing views! The MonkeyPod in Wailea is another favorite, with dinner available until 10 pm and a bar that’s second to none.

Enjoy Live Music Throughout the Island

There’s nothing quite as relaxing as kicking back and listening to live music as you enjoy a meal. Monkeypod Kitchen is a great option, especially for those traveling with kids (ages 3 and under get free pasta!). Visit their website to check out their live music schedule at each location. Nalu’s is another hot spot, with a casual, counter-service environment. You can find live music there every night of the week, plus they have well-priced food and drink options. There are countless restaurants like these that provide both food and entertainment, so you’ll never experience a boring night in Maui.

Embrace Maui’s Breweries

Brewery hopping is perfect for a date night or an evening out with friends. Visiting a variety of breweries while you’re on your trip allows you to embrace a wide range of flavors and brewing styles. The Waikiki Brewing Company should be your first stop – with daily happy hours from 3:00 – 5:00 pm and 9:00 pm–close. Mahalo Aleworks is another fun brewery to visit, with a beautiful taproom and lots of good beer. You can schedule a brewery tour and tasting with them to get the full experience.

Experience a Luau Evening

Embrace the traditional Hawaiian luau experience! These events often extend into the night, giving you a unique look at Maui’s culture. While you sit back and enjoy the hula performances and Polynesian fire dancers, you can indulge in local food and drink. Going to a luau is a Hawaiian experience you don’t want to pass by!

As the sun goes down, we want to make sure you’re embracing Maui’s fun attractions at all hours of your trip. Whether you’re looking for an energetic night full of dancing and drinks, or a laid-back evening of live music and food, Maui has it. When the evening is over and you’re ready for some rest, Wailea Ekahi Village is the perfect spot to come home to. Check out our condos for rent by visiting our website, and we’ll see you on the beautiful island of Maui!
