At Wailea Ekahi Village, we’re always looking for ways to enhance the experience for our residents and guests. One of the biggest updates to our outdoor living spaces is the removal of private lanai BBQs in favor of beautifully designed communal BBQ areas throughout the property.
This update was made for safety and insurance reasons, and while the grills are no longer located on individual lanais, BBQing remains an important part of the Ekahi experience for both owners and guests alike. These new communal areas preserve the tradition of outdoor cooking and gathering—now in even more scenic, social spaces.

Why the Change?
- A Safer, Smarter Solution – For safety and insurance compliance, private BBQs were removed from individual lanais. This proactive measure helps ensure the well-being of all residents and guests.
- A More Peaceful Atmosphere – Late-night BBQ gatherings on private lanais are now a thing of the past, ensuring a quieter, more relaxing environment for all residents and guests.
- More Beautiful, Open Spaces – With the removal of individual BBQs, our lanais now feel more spacious and inviting, while the extra room has allowed us to enhance our lush gardens and landscaping.
- A Stronger Sense of Community – Gathering at our communal BBQ areas makes grilling a social event! Meet new neighbors, share travel tips, and make memories over a delicious meal.
New Communal BBQ Areas

We’ve carefully placed several communal BBQ areas throughout Wailea Ekahi Village, ensuring they’re easily accessible and come with stunning views of our tropical surroundings. These new spaces are perfect for:
- Social Gatherings – Catch up with family and friends while grilling your favorite dishes.
- Alfresco Dining – Enjoy a meal in the fresh island air with breathtaking ocean views.
- Convenience – No need to leave the comfort of Wailea Ekahi Village—your next BBQ is just steps away!
