A uniquely private and protected location away from Kihei Road and away from the pool, this peaceful retreat combines nearby direct beach access (just steps from the building) and beautiful scenery with easy access to snorkeling, body surfing, turtle watching, whale watching (in season), lawn games, and more.


Property Details

Although not in Ekahi Village, we are at the north end of the same beautiful Keawakapu Beach on a slightly elevated outcropping into the ocean. You can easily walk along Keawakapu Beach to Ekahi Village in just a few minutes. Our vacation rental at Kihei Surfside #212 is a mid-sized (680 square foot) condo at the quiet end of an all-concrete building in one of the most sought-after locations in Kihei: on a huge grass lawn near Keawakapu Beach, with amazing ocean, mountain, and island views.

Our remodeled condo features an open floor plan in the living, dining and kitchen. The common living area features a 65-inch LG HDTV (with cable and smart features). The quiet master bedroom has a King bed, 50-inch smart LG HDTV (streaming service only) and a bath with an excellent shower (no bathtub).

We currently do not have air-conditioning. For decades, this was considered unnecessary because of the excellent flow-through ventilation. Kihei Surfside is in the process of upgrading its electrical and other systems to allow installation of air-conditioning – likely in 2023. Our fully appointed open kitchen features a Fisher-Paykel French-door fridge / freezer among other new (2022) appliances, bar seating and features granite counters.

The open living area has a comfortable sofa, 65” flat-screen LG LED TV with internet media, Wi-Fi, a dining area that comfortably seats 4, and a second half-bathroom off the wide hallway.  (Note that multiple washers and dryers are available on the first floor on the beach end of the building.) Our condo is beautifully maintained and outfitted with everything you’ll need for a fun filled, relaxing stay. Treat our new Maui home with the love and respect it deserves, and you’ll be welcome time after time.


Because we are located on the ocean away from Kihei Road, there is no traffic, road noise, or utility poles and wires – just an unobstructed view of the ocean, west Maui mountains and the protected green belt along the shore.  The green belt along the shore toward Kihei has excellent turtle and bird watching. Keawakapu Beach, immediately next door to our condo building, takes you toward Wailea and features beautiful sand, beginning body surfing, snorkeling at either end and occasionally locals fishing here too.  Enjoy the heated pool with a full ocean view – life couldn’t be better. We are new owners (July 2022).  Complimentary Wi-Fi, phone calls to the U.S. mainland and Canada, and so much more awaits.  Parking for one vehicle is a few steps from our front door.  We just ask that you treat our home as you would yours (e.g., mindful of not using spray sunscreen in the unit and keeping sand outside where it belongs). A peaceful and relaxing time awaits as you will soon discover, Maui No Ka Oi (Maui is the best).

To secure this booking, a payment of 2 days is due within 5 days of confirmation of intention to book. Any and all amounts payable, whether they be a second partial payment or the grand total must be fully settled 60 days prior to arrival. If that date has already passed, then payment must be fully settled within 2 days of confirmation of intention to book

We will show a TENTATIVE booking (Yellow) on our calendar for your dates and change it to BOOKED (red) when your initial payment is received. Bookings are not fully confirmed until the initial payment stipulated is received.

Cancellation Policies:
For cancellations more than 60 days ahead of arrival we refund 1/2 of the initial payment.
For cancellations within 60 days of arrival – we only refund what we can re-rent on a pro-rata basis.

COVID – 19 CANCELLATION POLICY: If Maui closes to trans-pacific travel or vacation rentals are no longer allowed to operate,and you are inside the 60 days (you’ve made full payment) then you have the option:
1. 100% credit to a future stay within 12 months OR
2. Refund equal to amount paid less 1 night rental. If we can re-rent your dates, we’ll refund the 1 night as well

Property Rules

Total number of occupants will not exceed the quoted number unless agreed upon in writing prior to arrival.

Minimum stay is 5 nights, except Holiday Season when it is 14 nights unless otherwise agreed to in writing.

Cleaning Fee of $250 + TAX appliesregardless of length of stay.
